MEXICO, Pampanga-- The management staff and employees of the Pampanga I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PELCO I) have donated blood recently to the Philippine Red Cross in a blood-letting activity dubbed as “Operation Alay Dugo ng PELCO I 2016”.
Philippine Red Cross – Pampanga/Angeles City Chapter Administrator Augusto Ocampo, who led PRC workers to the PELCO I main office in Barangay Sto. Domingo, this town said that the activity is a worthy endeavour and a big help to those who need blood.
“Malaking tulong po ang ibinigay ng PELCO I sa pamamagitan ng pagdo-donate ng dugo sa mga taong nangangailangan”, said Ocampo in an interview.
For PELCO I meanwhile, those who donated blood have expressed their happiness while knowing that what they have given will go a long way especially to those who are needing blood infusion.
The said blood-letting activity has produced 52 units of blood which will be screened, tested and stored to be readily available to those in need.
Meanwhile, the University of the Assumption, College of Nursing sent nurses headed by its dean Anelle Mallari, assisted in the screening and blood-letting procedures.
